The institutional organization of the Road Transport Administration Department is formed with (280) officials, (2710) staff members, totally (2990). Currently, the department is running with the strength of (152) Officials, (1353) staff member, totally (1505).

2.3 Objective and Responsibilities

2.3.1 Objective

The objective of the Department is Road Safety.

2.3.2 Responsibilities

The four responsibilities of the Department are as follows:

(a) Vehicles Inspection for road worthiness and Vehicles registration in accordance with law and regulations;

(b) Testing for driving licenses and issuing driving licenses in accordance with laws and regulations;

(d) Levying taxes and revenues for the State in accordance with the law and regulations.
